My response: “Why would you book that trip online when you can book with me?”
Here are some key differences between those big Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Expedia/Travelocity/etc and my travel agency, KP Travel Group.
The big websites and KP Travel Group have access to the same properties. Here is where we differ and what it means for YOU:
I only sell vetted properties: You know what you’re getting. If a resort is a dump then I don’t sell it
I know which rooms are considered undesirable: Avoid overlooking a dumpster, having a tiny room, being right under the nightclub, etc
I only book with Preferred Suppliers: The resorts take care of clients booked with these suppliers. They may have a no-walk policy. They give these guests the better rooms.
I negotiate extras: I can often offer free upgrades, early check-ins, spa credits, complimentary transfers and excursions, etc

I get to know your likes & dislikes: Knowing your preferences means I can cut through the clutter and only propose products that match your unique personality
I’m familiar with the destinations & resorts: I know the experiences that will take your vacation from good to great
I take note of special occasions: If you’re celebrating a birthday, honeymoon, anniversary, etc I let the resort know so you can be celebrated
I care about you and your vacation: My #1 priority is making sure you enjoy your vacation. You’re not just another transaction.
I will answer your questions: When you book online that website’s call center cannot answer your questions regarding the resort, cruise, destination, etc. They’ll tell you to call the resort/cruise line for answers. I offer customer service throughout the process and if I don’t know the answer off-hand then I’ll make the calls to get your questions answered.
How relationships make a difference
I have access to business development managers, sales managers, group coordinators, wedding department managers, concierges, etc.: I know the people that can make your trip special and help if issues arise
I only book with Preferred Suppliers: When you book your own trip it represents a very small slice of the revenue pie. When I book with my trusted suppliers it represents a very large piece of the revenue pie. This gives me influence to make things happen.
I attend industry trade shows, seminars, events, dinners, etc: I learn about the latest travel trends from the people creating them and pass this knowledge on to my clients
I get to develop real relationships with my clients: Each time you book your vacation with me I learn more about you. We develop a rapport. You’re not just a client, you’re a friend.

I’m flexible and can work on your terms: Everyone is different and has preferred methods of communication. We can work by phone, email, text, messenger, etc

You only work with me: I know all the details regarding your trip. You’re not dealing with a call center where you need to explain everything over and over again
How we use (or DON’T use) technology to make your life easier
I do NOT have an online booking engine: The whole point of my service is to make sure you’re getting a vacation that matches your unique travel style. A booking engine doesn’t know what you want. I do.
Travel tips relevant to your vacation: Before you leave you’ll get an email with tips pertaining to your destination and resort. This is not a general info sheet, this is all about YOUR unique vacation.
Secure booking and payment forms that are double-checked by a travel professional: I offer easy-to-find and secure booking and payment forms on my website. I then double-check everything you entered to make sure it’s correct before processing any reservations or payments.
Our promotions vs theirs
Targeted messages: I don’t sell the world. I have specific products that I promote. You’ll only hear from me regarding vacation experiences that interest you.
Only worthy products get promoted: I’m not trying to sell you undesirable inventory. I don’t promote the products that nobody else wants.
