Could you arrive on a quiet day and move through immigration quickly without it? Sure. You could also land behind several full flights and spend the beginning of your Jamaica vacation standing in line.
Airport conditions are unpredictable. Club MoBay gives you assistance when you arrive and a much better place to wait when you leave. The arrival and departure services provide different benefits, but I think both are worth adding.
Here is what you receive, what Club MoBay cannot help with and why I continue to recommend it.
What Is Club MoBay?
Club MoBay is a VIP airport service at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica. You can book:
- Arrival meet-and-greet service
- Departure lounge service

The arrival service focuses on assistance through the airport and access to a lounge while you wait for transportation. The departure service includes priority security access and a lounge where you can wait for your flight.
Club MoBay does not provide transportation between the airport and your resort. That must be arranged separately.

What Is Included With Club MoBay Arrival Service?
After you leave the plane, a Club MoBay representative meets you at the designated meeting point with a sign displaying your name.
Your representative assists you through the arrival process, including immigration and customs. Once you collect your luggage, you can use the arrival lounge while waiting for your prearranged transportation.
Arrival lounge amenities currently include:

- Local beer and a signature cocktail

The lounge is especially helpful if you are using shared transportation and must wait for other passengers before leaving the airport.
Club MoBay coordinates with your prearranged transfer provider, but it does not supply the actual ride.
Does Club MoBay Save Time on Arrival?
It can, but I would not promise a specific number of minutes.
Montego Bay airport has improved its arrival process, and travelers sometimes move through immigration quickly without assistance. On a quieter day, Club MoBay may save very little time.
Busy arrival periods are another story. Several planes can land close together, and the immigration area can fill quickly. There is no reliable way to know exactly what the airport will look like when your flight arrives.
That uncertainty is one reason I still recommend the service.
It also helps first-time visitors who are unsure about the arrival process. Instead of getting off the plane and wondering where to go next, you have someone expecting you.
What Club MoBay Cannot Expedite on Arrival
There is an important limitation: Club MoBay cannot make your checked luggage arrive faster.
You may move through immigration quickly and still wait at baggage claim. Anyone traveling with checked bags should understand that before booking.

If I had to choose only one, departure service offers the more predictable benefit.
You know you will have time to spend at the airport, and the departure lounge gives you a more comfortable place to wait. You do not need long security lines to receive value from it.
Arrival service is more like protection against an unpredictable airport day. You may save a substantial amount of time, or you may arrive when the regular immigration process is moving quickly.
I still recommend booking both.
After an early flight and a full travel day, I would rather have someone waiting to guide my clients through the airport than hope they land during a quiet window.

Lines feel much longer when a child is tired, hungry or asking when you are getting to the resort every four minutes. The arrival representative helps your family through the airport, and the lounge gives you somewhere to wait for transportation.
On departure, the children’s area and teen gaming space can make the airport wait easier. Available lounge facilities can vary, so do not choose the service based on one specific amenity alone.
Families should also remember that every traveler needs a reservation, including children. Enter the children’s correct ages when booking.
Should Destination Wedding Groups Use Club MoBay?
I recommend it, but each guest should book the service based on their own flight itinerary.
Wedding guests often arrive on different flights and use different transportation arrangements. Club MoBay can make the airport experience easier, particularly for guests who have never traveled internationally or are unsure about the arrival process.
