I spent four nights at Casa de Campo in August 2024 for a weddings and celebrations training, touring the venues, sitting through an actual wedding menu tasting, and walking the property with some of Casa de Campo’s other top wedding travel agents. I left with a certification as an Agent of Weddings and Celebrations and enough notes for a much longer conversation than one blog post. Here’s the real breakdown: who this resort is for, what it costs, and what you’re actually getting.

Who Casa de Campo Is For (and Who It Isn’t)
It’s a good fit if you want: an upscale, out-of-the-ordinary experience, some of the best food in the Dominican Republic, a more inclusive wedding package with real extras built in (florals, upgraded furniture, DJ and MC service), or a group that wants a lot of on-site activities to fill a multi-day wedding weekend.
It’s probably not, if: you’re picturing a typical beachfront all-inclusive with ocean views from every room, a small walkable property, or you’re working with a tight group travel budget. Casa de Campo is built for scale and variety, not intimacy on a budget.
Accommodations
Casa de Campo has roughly 250 guest rooms and suites split across a few tiers: Superior Casitas, Elite Rooms, and the newly added Premier Junior Suites. Every room comes with its own 4-passenger golf cart, which is less a perk and more a necessity given how spread out the property is.
For groups wanting more space or privacy, Casa de Campo also has private villas ranging from 3-bedroom garden-view homes to 10-bedroom oceanfront estates, each with daily maid service and a private pool.

What’s Actually Included in the All-Inclusive Package
For wedding groups, the all-inclusive package isn’t optional, and once you see what a single breakfast costs off-package, you’ll understand why it doesn’t need to be. My tab for one breakfast during my stay would have been $80 without it.
Here’s what’s actually included:
- Full breakfast, lunch, and dinner at resort restaurants, or room service with an extra delivery charge (Minitas Beach Club’s restaurant is the one exception, it’s not included)
- Unlimited drinks at resort restaurants, bars, and lounges (premium liquor, specialty cognacs, and bottled/mini-bar items are not included)
- Unlimited resort and in-room WiFi
- A 4-passenger golf cart for every room
- Unlimited horseback riding, tennis, the fitness center, and non-motorized water sports at Minitas Beach
- One round of skeet or trap shooting per adult (not included for children)
- Nightly turndown service with a pillow menu
- Kids 3 and under stay free, with access to age-appropriate daytime activities
One more perk worth knowing: guests on the all-inclusive package get a “Casa de Campo credit card” to use around the property. Restaurant staff can’t tell you’re on the all-inclusive plan, so you’re treated the same as anyone paying out of pocket. At the end of the meal, you hand over the card and the charge goes to the resort instead of your wallet.

Wedding Venues
Most of these aren’t within walking distance of the guest rooms, and since your group will be dressed up for the occasion, I don’t recommend having guests use golf carts to get to and from the ceremony. Casa de Campo can arrange bus transportation for your group instead.
- Plaza Chavón: Grand colonial-style plaza in Altos de Chavón overlooking the Chavón River. Cobblestone pathways and enough space for larger ceremonies and receptions.
- Dye Fore: Private three-level terrace with a covered upper balcony over the river.
- Piazzetta Terrace: Cobblestone terrace with river-escarpment views.
- Casa del Rio: Colonial building overlooking the river, with an attached outdoor terrace that works well as an evening cocktail lounge.
- St. Stanislaus Catholic Church: On-site church for a religious ceremony (couples must be pre-approved by the priest).
- Genesis Event Garden: Enclosed garden space entered through iron double gates.
- Casa Caoba: Colonial-style building in the Altos de Chavón gardens, with outdoor terraces for a cocktail hour and an air-conditioned indoor space.
- Amphitheater: Open-air venue for a sunset dinner that moves into dancing.
- Minitas Sunset Beach: Private white-sand beach for a classic sunset ceremony.
- Minitas Beach Club: Beachfront club, sections or the entire gazebo/pool deck/bar/restaurant can be privatized.
- Lago Garden Terrace: Terraced space overlooking the ocean and the Teeth of the Dog golf course.
- Tennis Courtyard: Open-air courtyard by the Racquet Club, with a covered pavilion and poolside terrace.
- La Casita: Indoor venue with a large bar, one of the most-requested spots for wedding events.
- Marina Riverside Center: Indoor/outdoor venue on the Chavón River with an open-air tent structure.
- Ballrooms: Private, air-conditioned, sized for groups of 50 up to 250.
Some venues carry an additional fee on top of your wedding package, generally $1,000–$23,000, so it’s worth confirming which venue you’re picturing before assuming it’s bundled in.

Wedding Packages & Real Pricing
Casa de Campo’s wedding packages are more customizable than the typical all-inclusive resort package, and they include extras most resorts charge separately for: florals, upgraded chairs and tables, charger plates, bistro lighting, and DJ/MC service.
The Simply package is a fully customizable one-day event (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, plus a rehearsal dinner reservation for 20 guests) for up to 26 guests.
The Ultimate package (Promise or Bliss) covers three days of events for up to 58 guests, and includes a complimentary 4-night stay for the couple, a rehearsal dinner reservation for 20, and a semi-private section of Minitas Beach reserved the day after your wedding.
Casa de Campo also discounts your wedding package for every guest who books into your room block. That discount is already baked into how they price these packages, it isn’t something you stack on top afterward.
So how much are we really talking, in real dollars? If your full group books into your room block and you use the package as-is, here’s what that actually looks like:
100 Guests:
Simply Package (1 day of events): $18,000
Ultimate Package (3 days of events + complimentary 4-night stay for couple): $32,000
50 Guests:
Simply Package (1 day of events): $12,000
Ultimate Package (3 days of events + complimentary 4-night stay for couple): $20,000
These numbers already assume a full room block. If your guests book outside the block instead, expect your package cost to run higher, which is exactly why getting the room block structured right from the start matters.
Food & Beverage
During my site visit, I sat through an actual wedding menu tasting, the same one couples go through during their own site visit. The spread included fresh ceviche, lobster bisque, gourmet sliders, and a dessert table I’m still thinking about. Between the eight on-site restaurants and the tasting-menu quality, this is one of the strongest food programs I’ve seen at an all-inclusive resort, and it’s all covered under the wedding package.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Casa de Campo the right fit for?
Couples looking for an upscale, out-of-the-ordinary experience, foodies who want some of the best dining in the Dominican Republic, groups who want a lot of on-site activities, and couples who want a more inclusive wedding package with real extras built in instead of the bare minimum.
Who might want to consider a different resort?
If you’re picturing a typical beachfront all-inclusive with ocean views from every room, a small, walkable property, or you’re working with a tight group travel budget, Casa de Campo probably isn’t the right fit.
How much does a Casa de Campo wedding actually cost?
It depends on your guest count and package. As a rough guide, a 50-guest group starts around $12,000 for the one-day Simply package or $20,000 for the three-day Ultimate package, and a 100-guest group starts around $18,000 and $32,000, assuming your full group books into your room block.
Do I need a travel agent to book a Casa de Campo wedding?
You don’t need one, but the packages, venues, and room-block discounts here are genuinely complex to compare on your own, and getting the room block structured right can mean thousands of dollars in savings on your package. I book several wedding groups at Casa de Campo every year, so I already know the ins and outs.
READY TO PLAN YOUR CASA DE CAMPO WEDDING?
Casa de Campo isn’t a resort you can fully evaluate from a brochure. Between the venue tiers, the package structure, and how much your final price depends on your room block, this is exactly the kind of property where having someone who’s actually walked the property and read the contracts pays for itself. I book several wedding groups here every year, including Sarah & Brett’s celebration, and I’m happy to walk you through whether it’s the right fit before you commit to anything.
