Planning a destination wedding is often filled with equal amounts of excitement and stress. I get that coordinating travel for you and your guests can be overwhelming, that’s where a destination wedding travel agent (like me) comes in! I handle all of the resort logistics so you can focus on the fun. While I manage the group booking side of things, your resort’s wedding coordinator handles décor, vendors, and ceremony details. Let’s break down exactly what I do—and don’t do—to make your destination wedding travel stress-free.
What A Destination Wedding Travel Agent Does (And Does Not Do)
As your Destination Wedding Travel Advisor, I handle every travel and logistical detail to ensure that your dream wedding is effortless and enjoyable—not just for you but for every one of your guests.
From booking accommodations and airport transportation to coordinating the day trips, I’m your go-to travel guru. I will liaise with the travel companies on your behalf and communicate with your guests so that they have a stress-free experience.
What don’t I do? I don’t take care of the wedding specifics. Wedding details like your photographer, décor and florist are managed by the resort’s wedding coordinator.
We cannot thank you enough for all your assistance in making this dream a reality. Our trip was nothing short of amazing. The resort, the wedding, and our excursions all exceeded our expectations. Our guests commented that they so appreciated your emails prior to departure, especially because we had some people that had never been international before and were not sure what to expect. Many people commented that they would love to plan trips through you in the future.— TIFFANY, SECRETS PLAYA MUJERES BRIDE

The Key Roles of a Destination Wedding Travel Agent
1. Travel Arrangements
The most popular tasks as a travel agent include booking your and your guests’ rooms, arranging airport transfers, and handling all of the payments. I also work with your guests to ensure they have all the necessary travel documents for your destination of choice.
2. Accommodations & Venue
As a travel agent, my role is to secure the best resort for you and your guests based on your priorities. From boutique resorts to large-scale all-inclusives, I help you find the perfect one! From there, I arrange a group rate and room blocks and even negotiate some potential VIP upgrades. As your travel agent for your destination wedding, I work with the resort to book the venue spaces for your ceremony, reception, and any pre or post wedding celebrations, such as a welcome party.
3. Logistics & Communication
One of the best benefits of working with a travel agent is having them liaise with the travel and accommodation providers on your behalf. So, if you have mobility issues, dietary requirements or any special requests, I will communicate these on your behalf.
4. Activities & Excursions
One of the more fun roles of being a destination wedding travel agent is putting together unique group outings for my couples & their guests. From sunset cruises (a personal favorite) to adventure tours like ATVing and scuba diving to cultural tours of historical sites. Each destination is as unique as the couple, and I love working with my couples to tie their interests together in the activities.
5. Honeymoon Planning
The travel planning doesn’t just stop at the destination wedding but can also include honeymoon planning! I will work with you to plan a seamless transition from the wedding travel to your honeymoon plan. Whether it be at the same resort or a whole new destination I want to help make your honeymoon travel memorable as well!
I don’t know what we would do without you! Everyone loves you and really appreciates your thoroughness with these documents / emails!— Olivia, LIVE AQUA CANCUN BRIDE

What Does It Look Like to Work With KP Travel Group?
Everything starts with the initial complimentary one-hour consultation call. We cover a lot on this call! I’ll ask more about your destination wedding dreams, you’ll get all your questions answered, and we’ll work through any concerns or hesitations you may have (like how to work with certain budgets).
Then, if you decide to move forward working with me the real fun starts! I’ll start hand-selecting the best options and put together a list of resorts that fit your needs and priorities. During this time, you’ll also receive some fun & helpful resources like a planning checklist & a guest calculator.
Once you choose your favorite resort and dates for your wedding, I’ll work with the property to nail down your contract and group room block and try to get you the best deal possible. You get to sit back and relax while I comb through all that pesky fine print for you!
After all of the details are set, I’ll hook you up with your very own wedding website with resort info, FAQs, and the booking form for you to direct your guests to. Your guests will work with me to make their reservations and any special requests that they may have.
Lastly, I will introduce you to your resort wedding coordinator, who will be your main point of contact for all wedding-specific details. Up until your wedding day, and even beyond, I’m here to answer all queries and solve any issues—whether that’s travel-related concerns from your guests or last-minute itinerary changes.
We had an absolute blast on our trip! I truly want to thank you again for all of your help and patience to make this trip a reality. Your diligence and responsiveness really helped alleviate the stress I was feeling and made the process manageable for me. There are really no words for the gratitude I have for you!!— Tina, DESTINATION WEDDING GUEST
